I am a passionate advocate, leader, and visionary dedicated to empowering families, caregivers, and individuals within the autism and special needs communities. Above all, I’m a proud Mom to an exceptional young man, who is 28, and on the autistic spectrum, and I’m “MiMi” to a precious 5yr old, MJ. These roles inspire me and foster an unwavering commitment to service, compassion, and community building.
I serve as a trusted Parent Advocate for autistic individuals, parents, and caregivers, providing guidance, resources, and support to help families navigate systems, access services, and build stronger futures for their loved ones. Her advocacy is deeply rooted in both lived experience and professional dedication.
I am the Founder and CEO of two impactful nonprofit organizations, Ausome Families, Inc., and NY Autism Moms, Corp. Through these organizations, I work tirelessly to create safe, supportive spaces where families can connect, learn, and thrive while promoting awareness, inclusion, and empowerment throughout the community.
In addition to my nonprofit leadership, I am a specialized travel agent focused on coordinating inclusive and accessible travel experiences for individuals with special needs and their families. I believe that every family deserves the opportunity to create meaningful memories through travel without barriers or limitations.
I also serve as the Vice President of Going Deeper Inc., an organization recently awarded a city contract to implement an innovative pilot initiative that we titled “A Blend of Services.” This program is designed to provide integrated, comprehensive support services that address the diverse and evolving needs of the communities it serves.
I’m driven by purpose, compassion, and vision. I will continue to build bridges between families, resources, and opportunities while advocating for equity, inclusion, and empowerment for all.

I’m an educator, autism mom, and advocate with a passion for helping students of all abilities succeed. After earning degrees from Howard University and Trinity University, I’ve spent 20+ years teaching students from 1st grade to college—plus adults and English learners.
When my son was diagnosed with autism in 2004, I became his biggest advocate. Today, he’s thriving in college, and I’m on a mission to help other families do the same.
Through JB Solutions, I offer Tutoring, IEP Coaching, Homeschool Support, and Communication Coaching for Non-Verbal Students. I believe every child deserves the tools and support to thrive.

Chris Lake is the author of Help Your Toddler Meet Their Milestones: 101 Behavior Hacks.
He is a native New Yorker who has been working with children with developmental delays for the past two decades. He received his Master's in both General and Special Education in 2012. And in 2014, he started Community for a Cause, a nonprofit to initially advocate for children with lead poisoning. This nonprofit has successfully worked to aid New Yorkers in all five boroughs as well as people abroad. Community for a Cause has several branches that include Special Needs Advocacy, Homeless Relief, Sexual Violence Prevention, Environmental Protection, and a Community Building Branch. Through his charity, Chris Lake remains committed to doing all he can to help those in New York who are without a voice and all those who are in need of support.
In looking to expand his ability to provide for families of children with Autism, he wrote his book Help Your Toddler Meet Their Milestones: 101 Behavior Hacks to give families and providers a time-tested blueprint of how to develop children using evidence-based practice. Working with PM Kidz Pediatric Clinic in Maryland, he is now working to develop the nation's first holistic, whole-family support for children diagnosed with Autism and developmental delays through individualized analytics and consultation.
